Kamphaeng Phet National Museum
- The National Museum - The National Museum Kamphaeng Phet is located inside the fortified city of Kamphaeng Phet opposite Wat Phra That and contains a good selection of Thailand art from Prehistoric times, Dvaravati Kingdom coins, early Ayutthaya style art (U Thong period), Sukhothat art, Sangkalok jars and Sukhothai Bronzes as well as Stucco Elephants and other local objects from Wat Chang Rob. It is open 9 am to 4 pm on Wednesdays to Sundays inclusive and closed on National Holidays. As with all National Museums photgraphy is not permitted unless with prior written approval. - There are three exhibition areas, the garden area outside, the ground floor and the first floor.
- The Garden area displays replica stucco models of Sukhothai styled elephants in the form that ssurround the bases of stupas, some bronze canons and stone ware jars.
- The ground floor displays information by way of introduction to the Kamphaeng Phet area, its history art and architecture. This deals with pottery, iron and stone artifacts of the prehistory period, coins from the Mon Dvaravati Kingdom period and the Tai Sukhothai Kingdom and Ayutthaya Kingdom periods.
- The first floor displays excellent examples of 16 C bronzes in Ayutthaya art style of Hindhu dieties, Shiva, a torso of a Goddess (either Lakshmi or Uma) and a male torso of a God. These were all found at Kamphaeng Phet. In addition there is a good collection of Sukhothai and Ayutthaya art style bronzes of Buddha and Sangkhalok and terracotta works from the region.
