Doi Khun Tan National Park comprises 256 square
kilometers and covers mountain terrain in Mae Tha in Lamphun Province and Hang Chat and Mueang in Lampang Province.

The geography of the park is rugged
mountains with the highest elevation being 1,373 meters at Mount (Doi) Khun Tan.
- The vegetation ecosystems are Mixed Deciduous Forest and Pine Forest above 700 meters and Moist Evergreen Forest Hill Evergreen Forest above 1,000 meters.

The Park is the watershed for the Rivers, Mae Tan and Mae Tha.
- The animals species to be seen here include, Sanbar Deer, Macaques, Langur, Porcupine, Macaque, Squirrels, Wild Bore and Common Muntjack.
