Mae Puem National Park Phayao Province

  • Mae Puem National Park comprises 364 square kilometers and two separate rugged mountain ranges. The ranges travel in a northern southern direction. The highest elevation is 978 meters above sea level.
  • Mae Puem Nang National Park is south of Chiang Rai City in Phayao Province and north of Phayao Town.
  • The vegetation ecosystems are Mixed Deciduous Forest, Deciduous Dipterocarp Forest in the low land by streams and Evergreen Forest.
  • The animal species to be seen here include, Asiatic Black Bear, Fishing Cat, Palm Civet, Squirrel, Wild Boar and Common Muntjack.
  • Over 40 kinds of birds are located in this National Park.
