- Khun Sathan National Park comprises 419 square
kilometers and covers mountain terrain in Nan Province north of Phrae.
- The
geography of the park is rugged
mountains running north to south with the highest elevation being 1,630 meters at Mount [ Doi
] Ku Sathan. The mountains range of Doi Prae Mueang separates the valleys of Nan and Phrae Provinces.
- The
vegetation ecosystems are Mixed Deciduous Forest, Deciduous Dipterocarp
Forest, Moist Evergreen Forest, Dry Evergreen and Pine Forest.
- The
animal species to be seen here include, Sambar Deer, Macaque, Asian Bear, Siamese Hare and Common
Muntjack.
