- Op Luang National Park comprises 553 square
kilometers and includes spectacular scenery of a zigzagging river flowing through gorges, cliffes, caves, waterfalls and mountain terrain in Chom Thong, Hot and Mae Chaem in Chiang Mai Province. This is just south west of Op Khan on the road to Chom Thong from Chiang Mai City.
- Op Luang National Park is rugged
mountains running north to south.
- The
vegetation ecosystems are Mixed Deciduous Forest, Deciduous Dipterocarp
Forest, Evergreen Forest and Pine Forest. In the lower areas are also Bamboos, Ferns and Palms.
- The
animal species to be seen here include, Tiger, Sambar Deer, Macaque, Asian Black Bear, Siamese Hare, Squirrel, Gibbon, Serow, Civet, Mongoose, Lanqur, Pangolin, Northern Treeshrew, Tree Monitor and Common
Muntjack.
