Khao Laem Ya Mu Ko Samet National Park
Khao Laem Ya Mu Ko Samet comprises 131 square kilometers of land and sea of which 94 % is sea and the balance is sea side hills and sandy beaches. It is in Mueang and Klaeng of Rayong. The mainland includes Laem Ya Hill for views and Mae Ramphueng Beach and the Islands include Ko Samet, Ko Thai King Khao, Ko Kruai, Ko Kudi plus another 5 islands.
- The vegetation ecosystem is Limestone Forest covers Ko Kruai, Ko Kudi and Ko Plai Tin. Beach Forest is also on these islands and because of the sea influences there are sparse grassland areas.
Coral Reefs circle Ko Kudi, Ko Thalu and Ko Samet. The better condition colonies of coral are at Ao Chek, Ao Phai Rock, Ao Kio, Khanna Rock, Ko Khudi, Ko Thalu and Ko Plai Tin.
- The wild animals include, Civet, Crab eating Macaque, Mongoose, Giant Squirrel, Mouse Fishing Cat and Palm Civet.
